Fri, December 1, 2006 - 3:08 PMWWF for .net? Last version I saw was for the Playstation 2. Not bad rendered ring babes.
Not looking forward to ,net 2005. I'd probably be on it if didn't break the SDKs I'm currently forced to use it for to develop for other platforms. I expect it will be rammed down my throat along with Vista to continue 360 development. But I can't even install the current .net 2003 patch because it permanently breaks your PC for XBox 360 development. Breaks as in you can't even uninstall/reinstall but must reinstall Windows XP.
Gates was smart to get out on top. Now it's in the hands of Steve "Developers! Developers!" Balmer. That video never gets old. -

Sat, December 2, 2006 - 1:03 AM2005 and .NET 2.0 is such an improvement over 2003 and 1.1, to me. 360 development in 2003 tho? Hmm, seems that 360 would be using the latest version of .NET for that, if not some of the extensions in .NET 3.0. Which is what WWF(Windows Workflow foundation) is a part of, along with WCF(Windows Communication Foundation). For other platforms eh? Have you tried Mono yet? I know nothing about it myself, I'm curious if it really does live up to it's portability claims. -

Sat, December 2, 2006 - 10:42 AMYou'd think they'd make sure their own stuff was compatible, wouldn't you. Mono? No thanks, last rime I had that I missed prom. :) -

Sun, December 3, 2006 - 12:49 AMIf there was money in it they would do that but Linux users aren't known for being a huge pool of consumers who purchase lots of software. Ask yourself what the business model is for doing that then do the math. The "$" is M$ is not because they are a charity. :P
